Two Cows and a Car
In September 1990, the "Ask Marilyn" advice column in Parade magazine posed the following question. Suppose you are in a game show and you're given the choice of three doors. Behind one door is a car; behind the others, cows. You pick a door - say, number one - and the host, who knows what is behind all doors, opens another door - say number three - which he knows conceals a cow. You look at the cow and the host says to you "Do you want to stick with door number one or switch to door number two?" What should you do? Is it to your advantage to switch you choice?
Send me an email and I will send you the solution.
